WANTED DVD 2 DISC COLLECTOR'S EDITION!

Well...What can I say? I've been lusciously in love with Angelina Jolie since Gia, and she is an actress that just keeps getting better and better at her art. Billiant mixture of talent, beauty, emotion, toughness, and ofcourse softness.

This is Angelina's latest flick and it's finally on DVD! I saw this film in the theaters and I have to say I thouroughly enjoyed it! The DVD finally hit, and man does it deliver! Filled with cool behind the scenes features and special effects features that will keep you busy for an hour or two. The sound is amazing in this film, and it was nominated this year for an academy for best sound as well as best mixing. You like loud actionfilms? You won't be disappointed!!

The film is based on a comic book written by Mark Millar, who also wrote "kick ass". And the story surrounds a man who goes through..erm, a couple changes shall we say ;) William Gibson(played by James Mc Avoy) Is a man in a dead end job, a bad relationship with a cheating girlfriend, and a serious case of panick attacks. Living his squandering life day by day, he goes to a pharmacy and is caught in the middle of a firefight between mysterious characters. One of them being Fox (Angelina Jolie) And from here,William's life changes forever! The mysterious Fox takes him to "the Fraternity" A secret place were an ancient bethren of monk assasins train in the shadows of a secret society, thousands of years old. Here he meets Sloan (the great Morgan freeman) and Sloan tell's him his father was an assasin. He invites William to follow in his father's footsteps, a man he has never met, because he vanished when William was only a baby.

William accepts the offer, quits his job and tell's his annoying boss off and heads to the Fraternity to learn the was of an assasin. Not only learning how to "curve bullets" and do some amazing stunts, he also learns about "the Loom of fate". A god-like mechanism that gives the names of target's in binary code from weaving errors in the frays of fabric. Those names revealed are those who will cause harm or tragety in the future, so they are taken out by the assasins. They believe they are doing the work of God.

If you like revenge films, if you like insane car chases and impossibly cool fight sequences, then this one will have your mouth watering! It's packed with stuff, almost wall to wall! And it unfolds perfectly. To watch someone change into something completly differant from the point when you first see them is truely amazing also! I think James Mc Avoy was perfect for the role! He was funny and bad-ass! Morgan freeman, What can be said about this great actor that already hasn't been said?! Truely wonderful to watch, this role is differant from anything you've seen him do before, so get ready to be impressed all over again! Angelina I think was perfect for the role she played. I was going into this film expecting Tomb Raider, but when I saw this for the first time, I was positively proven wrong. She's funny, and sexy, but she's more gritty then you've seen her in other films, almost cold and emotionless in some scenes and she pulls it together convincingly!
Her physique is incredible, this woman works on her body daily and it definitely shows....wow(wipes sweat from forehead)

There is some great music in this film's soundtrack, one of them being Nine Inche Nail's "Everyday is exactly the same" Which is played in key scenes as the film progresses. There is hilarious use of the Pina Colada Song too! The sound, as I mentioned, being DVD, is a perfect showcase of expert mixing and sound enginiuty. Listen to this sucker with the volume cranked and the sound surround on will have your house rattling and your nieghbours pissed..very impressive sound!

Alright ..DVD specs! The DVD was released as a single-disc widescreen DVD, a single-disc full-screen DVD, a 2-disc special edition DVD, a 2-disc limited edition gift-set DVD, a single-disc Blu-Ray, and a 2-disc limited edition gift-set Blu-Ray. The single-discs had no features, but the 2-disc special edition DVD contained 8 featurettes (Cast and Characters, Stunts on the L Train, Special Effects: The Art of the Impossible, Groundbreaking Visual Effects: From Imagination to Execution, The Origins of Wanted: Bringing the Graphic Novel to Life, Through the Eyes of Visionary Director Timur Bekmambetov) a feature on the making of the video game, Wanted: Motion Comics, a "killer" extended scene, and a digital copy of the film ( which ofcourse seems to be the norm now, I find it a waste of time when they can add more behind-the-scense stuff for geeks like me haha). Anyways, the Blu-ray release, if your buying Blu-ray will also include some additional BD-Live features. The 2-disc gift-set dvd contained the 2-disc DVD features, plus: A Book of Assassins, 4 collectible postcards and a lenticular scene in an acrylic frame. Which all comes in a hard-box type container.

So there ya go! Another DVD review to read, hope you enjoyed and this was useful to you. Again this was an awesome film I give it 8/10!!

See ya later movie fans!
